What Are the Experimental Game Modes and How Do They Work?

1. Death Run (PvE Mode)

In this single-player PvE mode, you fight through endless rooms filled with enemies, aiming to achieve the highest score possible.

  • Start by choosing your weapon and difficulty in the deployment room.
  • Progress through rooms, upgrade your gear every 3rd room, and face a boss at the end of each biome.
  • Collect coins, cores, and health packs from enemies.
  • Use coins to upgrade weapons and abilities during your run, and cores for permanent upgrades in the Customization menu.

2. Hand of God (PVPVE Mode)

This experimental PVPVE mode uses generative AI where two players (the runners) compete in a series of arenas created by a third player, the Hand of God (H.O.G.).

  • The H.O.G. player generates a new arena using prompts that control the arena's look, size, and difficulty.
  • The runners must clear the kill tally in each arena as fast as possible while avoiding interference from the H.O.G..
  • At the end of five arenas, the runner with the fastest overall time wins.
  • The H.O.G. can cast enemies, traps, and other challenges to slow down the runners.
